UI makeover

Functionality is great but suspect you are losing out to the likes of Todooist because of their slick modern interface. A slick UI does make it easier and quicker to use the product, and I was quite tempted by Todooist on that basis.. until I figured out it wouldn't do nearly as much for me.

I agree.
I use Todoist, not because of the sleek and modern design but the easiness and productivity they accompany: the easy-to-use quick access, effective edits, prioritizing tasks with easy drag-and-drop, efficient update process, etc.
The only reason I do not invest in Todoist is that, even though it claims to be multi-platform, it cannot sync with Outlook 365 without causing big problems. The mobility and being able to work across multi-platforms is very important as a modern busy business person. So if sync-ability is on the top of the list.
Toodledo still has many flaws, but they are the problems I am familiar with. (In other words, new users will be turned off by these flaws and stay away from Toodledo). If Toodledo can haul their UI multi-platform functionalities, I see it easily getting 5-star reviews and dominate the market.
