The ONE thing I need. I have been trying to create something somewhat like this with a crude hack or two... sort by date-time, then priority, then length ... but I don't use length for its' "stated purpose" but just as an arbitrary sequence number, to set the order of all of the High Priority items with respect to each other, etc. - so that items that must be done at a certain time, are shown first, followed by all of the other items for that day that do not have a time. Being able to Drag and Drop would be so much more elegant than these crude hacks.

Even tough there are plenty of sorting methods, I'd really like to have manual sorting. Manual sorting can be a sorting criteria like folders, goals and so on : If you push the manual sorting as first criteria then it has the priority. If you drag and drop tasks then it should mean that manual sorting has automatically the priority on any other sorting criteria.

Yes, this would be the biggest ToodleDo improvement to my daily effectiveness: being able to drag and drop today's tasks (which for me is usually the Starred tasks) into the order I want to work on them. Today I print out a task list and then write numbers on the tasks. If I go to this trouble, I am able to work on the right tasks first, and quickly progress from one to the next, accomplishing much more in my day.

I think there is another request for a separate sort of view for today’s tasks which would greatly benefit from this and integrate well. One master list (which is what ToodleDo currently is) with all of the sorting/categorizing features and then a “working on” type of list that pulls in tasks by criteria and then allows a manual sort. This would be AMAZING.

Would be much more practical than using tags / stars / folder sorting
