Focus mode

When I have a long list of things to do, I find it very distracting. I'd like an alternate view in Toodledo where I can just see one task at a time, with the others grayed out or just plain gone while I work on that one. When I finish that one, show me another. Maybe have arrows so I can move through tasks at my top priority level till I pick one to work on.

Like the idea, but not as a default. Want it to be an option I can pick.

Ideally, an option to enter this mode automatically when I start a timer on a task

FOCUS button-Only display Current Task

It would be fantastic if it was possible to have the option for TD to display just a single task, ideally just a click that hides all the other tasks on the list. The idea being to focus on JUST the current task and have it displayed, maybe in a larger font, possibly with the ability to start/stop the timer. Also make it so if you click the task as "done" it goes back to the full selected task list.

I'd suggest you may want to read Michael Linenberger's book "The One Minute To-Do List" (available as a free ebook). He has a great system for task management, including making an email into a task. His system takes care of that "long list." He initially designed it to work with Outlook but adapted it to ToodleDo. (It works on paper as well.) In fact, there is a ToodleDo version already configured for his system. I myself prefer using ToodleDo but each user can choose based on personal liking and situation. His web address: www.michaellinenberger.com.
Best wishes.

That would be a very useful feature!

Please consider a special focus mode that visualizes time spent, estimated time left, and expected end time. This will be immensely useful and something no major task managers have implemented before. To know how this works check out 30/30 app or "Time" app on iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/app/time-defeat-distraction/id1313017655?ls=1&mt=8
